Material

  • 1 x 0.5cm thick foam board (50 x 70 cm)
  • 25 cm of printed fabric for the outside of the writing board (150 cm wide)
  • 25 cm of printed fabric for the inside of the writing board 150 cm wide)
  • 2 sheets of white paper (A4)
  • Neodymium magnets
  • Odif fOdicoat
  • Odif Fabric Booster
  • Odif 303 Adhesive
  • Wide brush
  • Strong adhesive for magnets
  • Scissors
  • Erasable pen
  • Iron
  • Parchment paper

Step 1

  • Draw the 4 pieces of the writing board (back, 2 mirrored sides, flap) with the attached templates and cut them with the cutter.

  • In each sheet of white paper, cut 4 strips of 5 x 29.7cm and spray the Odif 303 Adhesive on their entire surface.

  • Position the closed sides on the writing board and glue the straddle strips to the sides.

  • Open and glue the strips inside in opposite directions.
  • Cut the excess paper.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the flap.

  • Open the writing box and draw the contour on the underside of the fabric.
  • Cut out about 2 cm from the outside of the line.
  • Erase the line.

  • Glue the magnets to the places indicated on the pattern (E = outside).
  • Coat the outside of the writing board with a medium layer of Odicoat.
  • Glue the fabric to the outside of the writing board, smoothing with a cloth to avoid bubbles.

  • Fold the excess over the inside and glue with the Odicoat.
  • Open the corners by incising before folding.

  • Stick the magnets in the places indicated on the pattern (I = inside).

  • Generously spray the Odif Fabric Booster on the fabric inside the writing box.
  • Iron at medium temperature while protecting the sole of the iron.

  • Draw the contour of the opener on the fabric and cut to 0.5 cm inside the trace.
  • Coat the inside of the writing box with a medium layer of Odicoat.
  • Glue the fabric.
  • Let dry 24 hours before closing the writing box.
