Step 1
1/ Preparing the pattern
Download then print the mask pattern in real size.
Protect your work surface.
Place the pattern against your surface.
Shake Odif 808 Reactivable Adhesive well.
Spray evenly a thin layer at 25 cm.
Allow to dry completely.
Step 2
Let the Odif 808 Reactivable Adhesive dry completely.
Step 3
2/ Cutting the mask
Place on the back of the fabric (washed and ironed beforehand) the back of the sprayed pattern.
Step 4
Iron on satin position to activate the adhesive.
Step 5
Cut all around the pattern.
Cut a 5 mm notch as shown all around the pattern.
Remove the pattern from the fabric.
Tip: The pattern is no longer sticky but the adhesive can be reactivated several times with the iron. This way you can use the same pattern for several masks.
Step 6
3/ Sewing the mask
Fold the fabric in half, back to back along the fold, mark it with your fingers.
Mark the hems in the same way.
Step 7
Form the folds by following the previously cut notches and hold them with pins.
Do the same operation on the reverse side of the fabric.
Step 8
On the right side of the fabric, pin the elastics as shown on the pattern.
Step 9
Fold in half, right side against right side, along the fold.
Place the folds face to face.
Pin.
Fold one hem and fold the second hem over the first hem.
Pin.
Step 10
Stitch at 1 cm from the edge (by machine or by hand).
Step 11
Turn the mask over.
Step 12
Hold the hems by a stitch at 2 mm from the edge.
Step 13
For each end, close the opening (taking all thicknesses) with a stitch of 1.5 cm at 5 mm from the edge.
Step 14
The opening allows you to slide a piece of paper tissue that can be replaced very regularly.
